Officially in 1st Grade

As much as I tried to make her stay little forever, my baby has decided to start first grade. The report after day 2: "I LOVE it!" Good start to the year.

Ty's First Football Game

Big Man started his first season of football on Saturday. We signed him up for an "Under 6" league. Discovering later, that "Under 6" actually means...well, nothing. Despite that minor detail, Ty seemed to enjoy himself.

We are excited to see what the season brings.

She was crowded "Princess" for the day.

She was given an authentic "Glass Slipper".
She learned how to catch "fairies".
And her favorite part -- putting her hand print on the wall.

Happy 6th Birthday, Halle. What an amazing six years it has been!

Happy Birthday Halle

Yesterday was my baby girl's 6th birthday. I am still in shock that time can really go that fast.

Her girl scout troop went to see Miracles and Magic. Fantastic! A performance that touched my heart forever. All of the sales go to A Kid Again & I think a few of the girls actually got that. Watching 13 Kindergartners reach for falling snow inside a theater was pretty powerful too. There is just something about magic that makes your mind feel like a child again -- plus the comedians that were over the girls' heads were pretty funny too!

I think she enjoyed every second of her birthday. Of course, we can't end with one day! Today we will have her Fairy Tea Party.

Chick Cake Pops

We tried to make the Bakerella cake pops today. With Ty being sick and having to run him to the doctor in the middle of our project, I think our first attempt turned out pretty stinkin' adorable..not perfect but still contain a serious amount of cuteness! Can't wait for the next attempt!

Lemonade Smoothie

Perfect recipe to perk up 2 sick kids on a beautiful afternoon..

2 cups lemonade + 2 cups ice...pour in blender for 20 seconds = perfection!

So tasty and put a smile on both of their faces...mine too! Yumm!
